Answer. He sits behind a hall painting after Clockey. Ask who he is and he sings Beautiful Creature. Ending C uses his questions as the lore dump.

What the dialogue establishes

He says he is preserving the creature that contains the towns, with the Bride as its new vessel. He gives Mellow's original name as Rodger and estimates his age at about nine. These are his statements, not a real-world diagnosis or a guarantee that he is a reliable narrator.
