Tip, the Hint Sign

Answer. Tip is a wooden sign with a face. Wikipedia calls Tip a sentient sign who gives hints. Steam guide authors say the same thing: use the sign before you open a walkthrough.

I would rather you click Tip in the game than spoil a puzzle here. When the sign is not enough, the puzzle pages start with the answer on purpose.

Where the art comes from

The visual notes for this site describe Tip as a wood frame and a gray board. I am not shipping a cropped official portrait.

Tip is not a currency and not a gameplay tip list. It is a character.

Questions I keep seeing

Should I ignore Tip?

No. Read the sign first. It is the game's own hint system.
